The most frequent method to lower the temperature of fresh concrete is to replace part of the mixing water by flake ice.

Description

This ice has a powerful cooling effect due to its latent heat of fusion when making water, allowing the temperature of fresh concrete to be lowered by 1ºC for each 7,5 kg/m³ of water replaced by ice.

INESA has extensive experience in the flake ice factories, so we design icemaker plants with the best energy performance and great storage flexibility thanks to our orbital silos.

From our silos, we distribute the ice by angers or pneumatic transport to the mixing plant where is dosed and weighed by pneumatic or screw weighers.
