The most frequent method to lower the temperature of fresh concrete is to replace part of the mixing water by flake ice.



This ice has a powerful cooling effect due to its latent heat of fusion when making water, allowing the temperature of fresh concrete to be lowered by 1ºC for each 7,5 kg/m³ of water replaced by ice.

From our silos, we distribute the ice by angers or pneumatic transport to the mixing plant where is dosed and weighed by pneumatic or screw weighers.
